I'm happy to be back today with a sweet pattern review for
from So Much Ado
I just had to make 2! This pattern is awesome! I had so much fun sewing these 2 little vests for our little men.
This pattern includes sizes up to 12, and with 4 boys running around here I know this is a pattern I will have around for a long time. The Schoolboy vest pattern is a beginner pattern. Don't let the button holes scare you off! I promise this pattern comes together very easily and you will have a fine dressed boy in no time.
With classic lines and a classic style, you can make this vest to dress up for the finest of occasions, play it casual with some jeans a tee, or think dress up, check out this styling version from Vanessa at East and Eden. She even has a tutorial for an ascot, what a winning combination!
- Sizes 6 mos. all the way to size 12!
- Welt pockets or faux if you prefer
- Full tutorial with clear explanation on each step and pictures to clarify
- Helpful button guide to ensure perfect button placement
- Fabric choices for lightweight woven, corduroy or other lightweight fabrics
I happened to have this wonderful piece of thrifted wool and as soon as I saw this pattern I knew I had found a use for it! I also opted to use the faux welt pocket piece for a breast pocket and add a touch of flair with a prairie point hankie. Let me tell you, this pattern was such a hit with our guys that they wanted to wear them to bed!! Thanks for hanging out hope you'll give the Schoolboy vest a try!
