Materials Needed:

  • Quilting or light decor-weight fabric, 40˝ wide: 11/4 yards for bag 
  • Contrast fabric (same weight): 3/8 yard 
  • Contrast fabric (lightweight): 4˝ . 12˝ 
  • Lining fabric: 11/4 yards 
  • Lightweight fusible fleece: 1 yard (Use only if you are using quilting weight fabric for the exterior.
  • Fusible web: 6˝ . 12˝ scrap 
  • Medium-weight fusible woven interfacing, 20˝wide: 11/2 yards 
  • Stiff pelmet interfacing, 18˝ wide: 1/4 yard (such as Vilene S520 or Pellon 520F Deco-Fuse) 
  • Sheet of template plastic, 12˝ . 18˝ 
  • 6 purse feet, 1/2˝ • 2 O-rings, 2˝ 
  • 1 open-ended zipper 20˝
  • 2 zippers 6˝ to match 20˝ zipper 
  • Fusible tape, 1/4˝ wide OR fabric gluestick
