Natalie Sun Dress

$ 5.50

Brand Frocks & Frolics

The lovely Natalie is a beginner project and you will learn to add so many gorgeous details it will be hard to stop at sewing just the one. Like most Frocks & Frolics pattern you are getting a range of video instructions keeping you covered whether you are adding flutter straps or bound shoulder straps.

If you have no serger at home the polka dot dress shows you an awesome technique to hide all those seams and finish the dress off beautifully. Most dresses I worked with French seams so you can follow suit. Naturally to make things faster you can just serge quickly.

One of my favorite technique is creating the illusion of a petticoat. With the lace peeping out from under the skirt it looks like you added a petticoat when actually you haven’t. Check out that simple trick in the videos below.

As fastening I used the snap poppers. They are fab and so colorful and best of all way easier to do than button holes.

You also get two sash patterns, one slim one and one wide, the sash pattern is also free to download from the project page.

Whether you are an expert or just starting out the video tutorial will make it very clear what you have to do. If you are unsure if you can handle this pattern then simply watch the video to reassure yourself before you purchase the pattern.

DIGITAL PATTERN

You’ll receive an email immediately after purchase with a link to download PDF files of the pattern and instructions, which you can print at home on either A4 or US Letter paper. When choosing the pattern make sure you tick which format you need. In the US and Canada choose US letter size which is wider and shorter than A4 paper. Everywhere else opt for A4 paper format.
